Emily and I have spent the past week in Ireland celebrating or 15th anniversary. I must say that this is some of the most beautiful country that I have ever laid my eyes on. We spent the first four days driving through the country sides out to the coast, stopping in small towns rich in history and steeped in culture. We are excited to be partnering with The Hub Urban Ministry in 2010 in reaching the homeless and working class poor of our city. The first Saturday of each month we will work side-by-side with The Hub distributing clothes, food and compassion to the hurting and searching. Each Monday Night at 318LIVE we will be collecting resources for The Hub, in order to meet the overwhelming need of the homeless community. This morning we had the opportunity to take some love and hygiene products into the Allendale community with The Hub urban ministry. There’s nothing like starting your day giving away free items to those in need and being able to hear their stories and pray with people. What do you get when you cross a group of 318LIVE peeps with an ice rink? Soggy bottoms and big smiles. 318LIVE showed up in full force with over fifty people attending the game and then ice skating afterwards.
