What Is 318LIVE
Objective
To create an area wide multi denominational young adult ministry that gives 18 – 30 year olds an opportunity to connect with each other, with their city and with their world.
Goals
To create a ministry that will fill a void in Shreveport/Bossier that can be easily reproduced nationally giving young adults a place to
1. Build relationships with others who are in the same stage of life
2. To serve their community in a way that demonstrates the love of Christ
3. To engage the world as a believer of Truth compelling others to a relationship with Christ
4. To bridge the gap between denominations by creating a more unified force for the cause of Christ
Solution
I believe that LIVE is the the answer to accomplish the above mentioned goals by facilitating weekly, monthly and annual LIVE events.
Monday Nights LIVE
Weekly gathering that is relevant and encouraging to young adults that provides an opportunity for worship, discipleship and building relationships.
Go LIVE
Community service project that occur the first Saturday of each month to give young adults an opportunity to put their beliefs into action in cooperation with local ministries and organizations by providing needed service.
LIVE Challenge
Spontaneous opportunities to gather together for 15-30 minutes throughout the month communicated by text the day of the event. May include but not limited to 15 minutes of worship in local park or 30 minutes of service at local shelter. Only LIVE leaders will have advance notice of LIVE Challenges prior to the day of event.
Luv LIVE
Monthly event that provides opportunity for having fun and building friendships. A great place for young adults to bring others that may not be comfortable with idea of a weekly gathering. These events will not include worship or teaching. They are for the sole purpose of establishing relationships and building connections.
Operation LIVE
A yearly mission project that allows young adults a week long opportunity to connect to their world by serving outside of their city. Operation LIVE will include travel to a location where they will work with local groups and organizations to demonstrate the love of Christ through service and outreach.
LIVE Tour
A yearly trip allowing young adults an opportunity to get away from the pressures of life and enjoy a few days of rest and recreation.
NotLIVE
NOT a church
LIVE is a para church ministry and a strong supporter of the local church, and exist for the purpose of meeting a need in the lives of young adults We are not and don’t present ourselves as s church plant in any way.
NOT a cell group
Although we do have LIVE Groups their purpose is to serve as contact points helping to build community within the entire body. They are not required or encouraged to have separate weekly meeting with their own agenda.
NOT disorder
LIVE has a very specific set of goals along with a very specific plan for achieving those goals. While we encourage trying new things and strive to remain relevant to our demographic, we never forget out intended purpose. We believe that order is necessary for growth and strong leadership.
318LIVE meets every Monday night at the Shreveport Country Club @7pm
